BECE Results for 2021

Novastar Academy continues to perform well in the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) presented by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).  The results for 2021 shows that our school ranked 10th out of a total of 151 private and public schools in the Gomoa East District, that is in the top 7%. Novastar Academy presented a total of 22 students, 17 boys and 5 girls. 100% of our students passed the examinations.

 

One outstanding aspect of the results is that of the 22 students who to took part in the examinations, all 22 received a “1” in Science.  This shows that the students really understood the subject, largely because of the practical experience provided in the Science Laboratory.  The Science Laboratory was established in 2019 with the help of Practical Education Network (PEN), a non-profit organization that has developed hands-on activities which complement the GES curriculum and are created from low-cost and locally available materials.
